Last Lifetimes

The wind tastes the marrow of my bones
Jehovah's movements become evident
Through the leaves of each tree I encounter
And moments can last lifetimes when I pause
To listen for the songs quietly sung
By the branches seeking to comfort my soul
What better Elysium can there be?

I love how you personify the wind in this finely crafted write Nate. How lovely to encounter God through Nature, to take time out from living life in a rush, to listen to the birds quietly singing on the branches of the tree, bringing comfort and consolation to their listener. Paradise on earth so eloquently expressed. I have enjoyed reading very much Nate. Thank you for sharing. Blessings always...... P.S./Love your Profile Pic of the Owl. He is beautiful! I visited a Wildlife Sanctuary recently and the beautiful Owls there had to be seen to be believed. Some were trained to do demonstrations and my friend and I truly enjoyed the experience of having seen how they catch their prey etc. Your Profile Pic brought the memories flooding back...........Thank you!

Strongheart, I hate to get anal here, but it's Elysium, a synonym for Paradise. But still thank you very much for the comment. Thank you all.
