"The clerihew consists of two rhyming couplets which purport to sum up the life and works of a famous person. Exaggeration, wilful misunderstanding, and even complete fabrication or character assassination, are permitted, and perhaps encouraged. The first line is always the person's name." Clerihew for a Poetfreak

Kath
likes to spend a long time in the bath (*).
I, however, live too far away to hope
that she will ever ask me to bring in a new bar of soap.
~~~~
(*) Being a northern lass, she would say this is a perfect rhyme, and who am I to contradict?
Hey Paul - am glad I caught this one - Kath will be in her element commenting on that question of pronunciation if I know her. I can see her bathwater getting hotter by an explosion of ready defences - - - oh ! - -I can see she already has had her lathery say- - good for her. A really fun read.
This clerihew is me to a T! And there's be nothing untoward in your being my soap butler cos I have so many bubbles that only my face is visible! As for the allusion to a rhyme issue, I see nowt wrong with bath and kath - flat vowels are grand and dandy! :)(bookmarked for future giggles) Thank you! :) kath xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I like seeing this "old" form making a new presence. So your bubble has burst.
