Morning glory by AgniMax

Dawn - A senryu series

at the crack of dawn
the sun's first rays peep in
a new day begins

sounds of chirping birds
those early morning risers
time to awaken

morning glory blooms
nature's gift to one and all
that brings a smile

the unfinished dreams
are quietly set aside
work takes precedence

Very lovely tribute to the wonder and delight of an unclouded glorious daybreak dawning....spoiling happy dreams, unfortunately. Hmm. Beautiful and interesting, addressing two perspectives on the issue. I like it.

You are right ...WORK has multitude of meanings here to me ...once it takes precedence many other worthwhile things are left to the backburner ...good poem that freshens the mind and enlivens the spirit

I loved each of the verses; "Work takes precedence" So true, but this work you did as a picture of dawn is excellent.
