ghostly passage II by sparth

Waiting Around

Hiding under
an unexpected show
of wintery sun,
exposed veins shiver
on trees
which stretch
to feel springtime
growing
beneath them.

Cold air grabs
tender-armed fissures
and blows
chill capricious breezes
between
hairless bare branches,
then gleefully
stalks among
trembling trunks
which
nakedly lean away

Waiting around
for relief
they look fraught.

Amazing imagery Fay. They look so bare this time of year. Still, the vivid greens of spring and summer are to hand. Bravo Steve
