The soldier girl.

The heart of a soldier and the mind of a child,
She lays in her bed drowned in tears.
She sets her life down upon the ground.
She does this for her family.
She does it for those who have been trampled on.
Those filled with sorrow.
She smiles.
The life of one oh so wise.
She sits and feels absolutely no worth.
She does however know he potential and goals.
She cries for the past, and the hurt,
As she cradles the innocent and protects the weak.

A moving tribute to someone who feels insecure, yet still does what she feels she must do.

Moving thoughts...couldn't be much loftier a purpose than 'cradling the innocent and protecting the weak.'
