A Sci-Fi poem

Turquoise Skies

None of us will forget this day;
There can no longer be any lies.
Many have seen flying objects
Soaring across our turquoise skies.

Tales of such things were dismissed
As fantasy by deceivers,
Wild stories told by silly fools;
But now we are all believers.

None will ever forget this day
When the truth was finally told,
That unknown visitors have come,
Space adventurers brave and bold.

They have dared cross the cosmos,
Journeyed from a vast distance,
Shattered our long held beliefs
That ours was a sole existence.

For we are no longer alone,
Life has come from another birth;
From a small star called the sun,
A little planet known as earth!

The discovery of multiple "Goldilocks" planets in the past year makes it more and more likely there is life elsewhere. Most likley some that is more advanced. When they visit again maybe we can ask them: Why is Mayweather ducking Pacquaio?

Very enjoyable write with good rhyming. There's still many that argue to the contrary... they won't believe till they see.
