It happened to me, broken heart you may have experienced it too, pity it sticks forever.

A broken heart

Many parts to my broken heart
From the day when it fell apart
My whole world came crashing down
And it fell without a sound

All the love that you stole
Left me standing in a hole
From the day my world fell apart
I am standing here with my broken heart

A second that passes feels like an hour
All my emotions have turned sour
Feeling left alone and hollow
My heart has turned to solid stone

Broken heart was the death of me
It's now so simple to see
Isn't better to at least fall
Than never to have loved at all?

As others have said, yes it does get better. But, I also acknowledge that part of that "getting better" comes from processing the pain. This poem was a part of that process for you, and I would be willing to bet that it will do the same for others. You took me right there to that lowest, most despicable part of pain that leaves you feeling as if breathing takes too much effort. You took me there with you and allowed me to stand with you and to climb up from that dark, lonely place with you. Thank you.

I agree...some never heal but blessings occur when you least expect them to. If someone loves you the way you loved previously it will soothe the wounds of love you lost. Those scars will always remain a part of us.

A sad song. Let the wounds heal. There'll always be the scars to remind you.
