Yesterday was a cold, wet day. Here are some of my thoughts on the same.

A Cold, Wet September Day

Look at the
overflowing sewers,
water-logged pavements,
hanging live wires,
inundated streets,
hyperactive kids,
snarling traffic jams,
fallen branches of trees,
and a sea of umbrellas all over.
It's a cold wet September day.

Feel the air-
so fresh, crisp and cool-
washed clean of pollutants.
The sky and clouds-
an artist's ultimate delight.
The smell of rain overpowering
that of diesel on the streets and
the sound of rain drowning
the maddening noise of traffic.
It's a cold wet September day.

Glad to be home at last!
Now it's time to listen
to some soothing soft rock music
and have a cup of hot cappuccino
on this cold, wet September day.
