Another look at the need for commenting after a read. Poem written last year and newly revised.

Farewell Clouds by yyz!

New Birthing.

Lonely the plight
of new-written verses.

Solitary flight
wears out tiring wingbeats.

To silently meet
starves all new birthing.

Shout then
melodious applause as greeting.

Words fly
vibrantly skywards as birds leaving.

They sing
fluid notes of welcoming care.

Warmth stays
quietly close after reading.

Nourishing comments
make known we were there.

very nice... well written . Thank you for bringing this subject to light. I embarrassed to say I have many times enjoyed a writing, moved on without commenting... even worse, liked some so much I slept with them...and then didn't call the next day. thanks for the reminder.

Fay, your sentiment for the younger writers touches deep. I applaud your efforts to let them know to keep writing and expressing themselves. I try to offer advice through messaging rather than in the comment area, so as not to embarrass the younger ones. Another great write from you on a subject that clearly warrants attention. We should help each other out on here.

Fay, your poetry speaks for itself, and so do all the appreciative comments your frequently gather. I know exactly what you were implying, and still I would like to shout; bravo! bravo! in honour of this fine piece. :) I'm just off to view a few new works now ;)

Sue - - this was written for a few poets I thought should have had more interest shown in their work and being young they needed support - - hope I didn't give the impression of greed for more myself - - apologies if I did.

This is a wonderfully observant and well expressed write, Fay, although your considerable poetic gifts are always a pleasure to read. Like many of your fine poems, it offers a slightly different aspect of a poetic life that we sometimes overlook; how much an author appreciates comments on their work. Carl.

A wonderful analogy, Fay. Well here's another reader who appreciates your poetic gift - hooray, hooray, encore, encore...magnificent! :)
