The depth of true passion dwells
beyond all the difficulties;
it holds fast beyond all the trials,
and mistakes of misjudgments.
It abides in a place where trust exists
along side absolute vulnerability.
A place where imagination makes
the unreal real through circumstance.

Silken Sky 2

Silken Sky 2

Let the hawks praise the air
for all its rounded blue.
Beneath winter's moon
any moment can form a kiss.
A trudge through mud
will instruct the ache
to sing a psalm each day.

The unsteady pulse
finds where love hides
its truer shades
in shadowed cloth.
The lake's glass wavers;
its lucidity is lost under
evening's easy breath.

It's the whispered hoots
of owls from darkened corners
that allow lover's to embrace.
Trust quickens the touch as
vulnerability slides beneath
the silk; there the night
sky quilts tangible dreams.

When we glom onto tangible dreams the continuance of life springs with colors not to be ignored. Your friend in words, Pete

Sensuous with nice vividly soft imagery. I don't really resonate with "whispering hoots of owls from darkened corners" "allowing lover's to embrace", but I do understand that the stimuli for lovemaking come from unconscious sources, and I also understand this is true for most. Nice write!

Tangible, indeed. Your words reach out and touch the reader, opening the mind to the scenes you've laid out for us. Bravo!

This keeps me in surprise as you present an imaged thought and then sudderly turn my view to another which has a mystifying link to the preceding.

I love the graceful images. Being in love and staying there is a construct of our best wills.

1, a moment and gesture of love and praise ...the acknowledgement of existence is like a quilted dream waiting to blossom in form of rose on time's cheeks . Then the ache knows the path that the master shows. 2. the shadowed cloth of life , the shading skies and the aging skin and heartbeats ...each becomes a pilgrim in search of the nirvana that defines the resonance.... 3. Easy breaths set the times to tango and the lucidity is gone for a moment when the heads toss against the intent of the moment.. 4 trust quickens the touch ...wow is the word for this piece ron
