The economics of emotions

Is it better to have loved and lost,
than never loved at all,
when the price of losing climbs so high,
and yet ignorance stays small?

I would have to say, it depends. Though ignorance is a kind of bliss, to live a false life owing to anothers lies is no way to live. If you have loved someone and then find that the person you thought you loved is someone else entirely, then it is no loss to lose them. You loved a figment of your imagination and they aren't worth a second thought. Better to have loved and lost? It depends. A good poem that makes the reader think. :) kath xxx

I hear you, and feel this way too... Can relate to the having and the losing... and then there's what's left... and damn, it hurts like nothing else........Nadine

True it is better to have known love than to never at all. Nice thoughts.
