Making it Through.

The colossus of gigantic Dedication,
if taken piled high
with tasks on each skyline,
will soon make travelling pilgrims
stop short, shake life,
and moderate their view of Emacipation,
welcimed as here but still baffling.

Full speed ahead is the rule,
with no dawdling please,
don't pick those daisies, do not even look.

Hedges of boomtime, designed to goad
really do scratch eventually,
and crazy demands for hours make
half a day truly reduced,
displaying full toll-pay on health
gold is seen grabbing central stage.

Making it through to success without lucre
appears stealthy,
and secret redemption from wealth
is ranked costly,
yet nuggets of wisdom pale if not chewed.

Simplicity's peace generates time
which need never be lost,
and many solutions
are there to ease life's weary state.

In freeing time, time will reciprocate.

Great poem Fay, an odyssey of mans chase for greed and the keys to freedom from it, I also echo Allie's words.

This is fabulous Fay - intelligent and imaginative, the poem looks at our money rich time poor society with fresh eyes and some excellent metaphors. 'Nuggets of wisdom pale of not chewed'. stays in the mind, as does your final line 'in freeing time, time will reciprocate.' Great poem. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Slowing down and enjoying the simpler things in life make time feel worthwhile. Love the concept and truth to this one.
