An introduction to Barefoot Boogie.

 by -Antoine-

Lively and Freestyle.

Rhythm battered the walls last night,
candles flickered in darkened Hall and
music perspired from untutored freestyle
spontaneous steps.

Gentle smiles bounced wildly around new
gyrations as caution was thrown to this
unrestrained wind, and singing from many
unshackled limbs could be heard as they
loosened and tripped into swing.

Permission to move disentangled residual
shyness as neither age, gender or size
denied itself freedom, became surprisingly
agile, and moved with grace.

Dance embraced beauty and tranformed
the ordinary into flame, as inhibitions
were boogied away in barefoot need for
expression of self.

Hurray for abandonment, relentless stress,
relieved by daring to dance lively and freestyle
impressed itself deeply last night as a good
way of revival.

When one dances freedom abounds especially barefoot. What a vivid picture you paint with such caution thrown to the wind. I enjoyed your triumph with dance immensely...

This vibrant, vivacious poem twists and twirls the reader through every stanza until breathless with wild abandon...it's been a privilege to be a guest at your party, Fay. :)

Free style spontaneous dance embracing beauty will certainly perspire music due to steps new! Lively the situation would have been indeed!
