A Haunt's Hush

Diamonds of creamed
............................... misty-pearl
hang in the dank air.

Soundless,
................ the thick calm unfurls
on every leaf there.

The woodland bathes
................................ in the hush.

Shadows are pregnant
with wait,
............. while the deeps of lush
green, sigh,
............................ and childlike
I stand in awe,
............................. undisturbed.

The hushed quiet seeps
..........................into my psyche.

Nothing stirs to break
..................the awesome scene.

Hauntingly placid,
............................ transcendent
and spectred
.......................... with sensation,
this heals with a peace
................................ which stills
my mind quite serenely.

I love these beautiful poems Fay where we become one with nature. Your images are so beautiful and really 'shadows are pregnant with wait'. It evoked such peace for me...

You exude such delicacy and intensity with mysterious elegance. The imagery and your words are just priceless, not to mention the images that seems to stay in my head even after reading it. ‘Shadows are pregnant with wait’ is just too beautiful and it sounds almost melodious.

I like the undercurrent of darkness that pervades your peaceful images. The title 'haunted hush', 'the dank air' and 'thick calm'. The element of awe is never far from the surface and this gives a richness to the imagery. A fine poem. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
