Ian Desert Island challenge

THE PERILOUS SEA PPP

THE SEA HAD SHOWN ME MERCY TO LAND ON
THIS PANORAMIC ISLAND WITH IT’S PALM TREES
IT’S SUNKIST SANDS AND SKIES OF AZURE BLUE.
AS MY EYES EXPLORED THE VASTNESS OF THE OCEAN
I GAVE THANKS TO GOD BECAUSE THAT’S WHEN I KNEW
THE SEA HAD SHOWN ME MERCY

THE POWERFUL SHIP HAD GIVEN ONE LAST PIERCING CRY
AS IT’S DECKS SUBMERGED BENEATH THE PERILOUS SEA
THE PITIFUL PLEAS OF THE DROWNING CHILLED MY SOUL
THEN SILENCE , THE ONLY CRIES I HEARD THEN CAME FROM ME
BEGGING THE SEA TO SHOW ME MERCY

AS I LAY THERE ON A CALM AND PEACEFUL SHORE
WITH THE GENTLE WAVES FILTERING BETWEEN MY TOES
I SAW IT IN THE DISTANCE, THAT TALL AND GRACIOUS MAST
LIKE A SAVIOUR , THIS SHIP HEADED FOR ME, AND ONCE AGAIN I KNEW,
THE SEA HAD SHOWN ME MERCY
