Trying to break free from Waltz Wave for a while...let me know if you think it was a bad idea...

In a box

While my heart is broken
I keep it in a box,
A box with no key
As it has no locks.
Why? You may ask yourself
I asked myself too,
But then I found,
To heal my heart
I must give it to someone new,
A bad idea that never works,
And always ends in pain.

So my heart goes back to the box
Only to be given away again…

As beautiful and pure as the person that wrote it... It definitely captures the rollercoaster ride from relationship to relationship... Well done

I like the unusual feel of this; it may be about keeping your heart in a box but the writing does not feel boxed in by anything, it feels free and full of honesty.

Well, somehow this charming poem reminds me of that woman Pandora, except that she kept a lot more than her heart in her little box, Violet! Let's hope the next recipient of your heart lets you have his in return. Carl.

It's an endless plight for some, but one day the true owner of the box will hold it forever.
