Just Beyond.
Everything has a beyondness.
Happenings end, and after the "now"
Is a world of it's own.
Senses, outside of the present,
Endow deeper, transitional life
With flights of pure fancy.
Vision conjours places beside
The mundane, para-normally right
For measuring "yonder".
Not too deep to be out of reach
Just beyond dreams is another sight.

This wonderfully expressed poem reminded me of an Irish saying which may also be common in England as well, "this time you have gone beyond the beyonds!" It's a phrase that has stuck with me, much as has my admiration for your terrific poetry, Fay! Carl.

beyond dreams i wonder
