ABBA rhyme.

Graveyard blossom by angus mcdiarmid

A Dance with Spring

Delicate pink blossoms caressed my face,
with arms outstretched I danced with glee
while passers by just stared at me
but filled with joy, I felt no disgrace.

The blooms collected as a thick pink snow
that I scooped with my hands and scattered around.
I marveled at the sweet delight I had found,
thousands of flowers with faint rosy glow.

I sat down among the petals of spring
complete in the moment of drunken bliss
knowing how fleeting are times like this
and the pure contentment that they bring.

I stored away this ephemeral fling
to bring back in winter when snow is real
and icy is the way I feel,
this memory will help me sing.

I am still working on this one. I am not pleased with it as I want to be. I may entirely change the ABBA scheme and write it ABAB instead. But thank you all for nice comments.

You have filled my heart with glorious Spring Susan. And I loved "complete in the moment of drunken bliss" and the rhyme scheme too!

Does anyone know how I upload one of my own pictures to a poem? Do I have to put it on flickr before I can use my own photos?
