Amidst A Storm

Amidst a storm, alone I stand,
Life slips away as freely as sand.

No one is there as far as I can see,
I may escape this world, but even that's not to be.

I lie there trying to fight the storm,
Till a ray of sun appears in the dawn.

The ray gives me hope to avoid a tragedy,
Though every inch of my body pains terribly.

God is judging me, this is my exam,
He wants me to pass, I know I can.

I then start chasing the violent storm,
And start feeling happy and warm.

At last I escape, there's something important I've learnt,
'Don't run from the fire just due to the fear of getting burnt.

Face problems with courage', that's what I've done,
I know, the storm has lost and I have won!
