The Unthinkable Promise

Trapped inside the body of a man the little boy confused about his dreams broke the heart of his only friend.

She swore she would never fall for his lies again somehow it came to all of this. Somehow this was the end, confused about it all he ran away to his cave; this was his only place of security.

Somehow throwing stones and breaking sticks seems to make sense to him, what costly price to pay, the price of a broken heart for a little girl.

The consequences are more dangerous than our actions.
