At a time of writer's block, a simple ditty I hope you enjoy...

Welsh Hill Path by Stuart's Photos

Country Caress...

I'd like a walk
on country lane
meander drift and dream

A day when cares
have fled away
my spirit I redeem

I smell the earth
the leaves, the trees
and peace is on the way

A morning sun
caresses me
this hazy lazy day

A light and carefree composition about taking the time "to smell the roses" and to center oneself in nature. The sentiment is Wordsworthian.

I wish I could pen poems this good when I have writers block. (Or anytime for that matter). I really enjoyed this light and airy piece that lifts the reader out of whatever doldrums he/she might currently be experiencing. Very nice indeed!

So sweet and with gentle flow... Nice poem, Robyn.. No signs of W.B. anywhere around this poem, let alone in it. Nature is always the best therapy.. :)

There is nothing like nature to renew our spirit and become one with nature. I can imagine it all through your soothing photo and words. The smell of the earth really caught my eye. Thanks for sharing even though writer's block has come to visit and I know the feeling~
