Poem inspired by freehand woolwork which was the result of hearing a song written by son......

Indispensability.

Crucial to living is finding the taste
of amazement at being alive, thirst
for essentials like wonder,
for which fate had life endowed.

Drink with delight, but first
stop at love's edge,
and see complexity, all interwoven
with seasons and tide.

Feel the imperative joy, which presses
juice into fruit, rain into cloud,
reside with such happiness
found bourne on first light of new dawn.

Sway to the rhythm in motion
as time sweeps winter clean,
to start again birthing underground.

Listen to grass grow,
and when found,
let delight in sound remain.
Life in its abundance turns vital keys
to unlock indispensability.

Your explore all the senses in this passionate poem Fay, and you write with such exuberance! Why is it I wonder that some of us view the world with such bright eyes, whilst others seem intent on seeing the sun as a 'caster of shadows'. Glorious write. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
