Epona, The Celtic Horse Goddess by Trella McMahon

The Gift

When I gaze
at your parting gift
and its beauty disrobes
before my eyes,
I wonder why
you gave me
a keepsake to dust
when you
gave me
you
unadorned
multitudinous
times~

Besides,
I have lassoed
our laughter,
nurtured
our nostalgia
and carefully
kept our kisses
with other
vehement memories
in dust free
muted
places~

And,
on storm
saturated days
when wind-shift parts
my ravished hair
with enraptured
streaming
rhapsodies,
I harness
my stallion
and ride
verdure pastures

with thunderous
lightning
flashing
a climax
to Beethoven’s
Fourth
Movement
of his Sixth
Earth
Shattering
Symphony!!

Beethoven's music is all too appropriate for the moods and sentiments beautifully conveyed herein. Delightfully evoking memories now replaying, the imagery is superb and this tribute too lovely in expressing reality. Awesome! Fantastic, a treat. Impressive. I quite enjoyed it.

This is absolutely wonderful Karin. The visions end imagery you have created are unique and spectacular. A brilliant piece in so many ways.Music and theatre in writing (I have to confess that I misread 'laughter' for 'daughter' on the first read).
