Father is a creature forgotten in due course of life; Mothers are normally remembered by Daughters and a few fathers by daughters; Father meets the fate, what he made his father meet;
A tribute to my dad on Fathers’ day, who made me what I am today!
Is Love of a Son,
Unheard of in history,
Except that of epic Rama,
Loving his father,
To live a life care-free,
Away from Kingdom,
Ruling and rubbishes!
A Priam and Hector
Made the epic relationship
But oh my father
You are no more
To demonstrate a Priam’s love
For Hector his son!
Let me demonstrate,
A Telemachus of myself!
Is it thy physical presence
That effected my development
By nature and nurture, day in and day out?
I have the potential,
To achieve my Father,
As you had in your time!
But you failed to leave,
A diary of the turnings,
That tortured you in turbulence,
Resolving the nonsense,
As ether spread on floor!
Should I travel to Nestor or
Menelaus, the unseen cities,
to find you, my Ulysses,
Great Dad of this trailing hero!
Oh I am not Nachiketas
To knock at the doors of the dead,
To look for my Odysseus,
By penancing for three days,
At the doors of Yama,
Guardian of the departed!
At the end of the story
Will you be in disguise my dad?
When I meet you in the mystic land,
Temporarily remove the veil,
To reveal thy splendour,
for a while to me to revel!
Oh is it all an Odyssey,
About an unreal world my Dad?
Oh my Father , it’s your ideal,
I may not be Telamachus
But make me a son,
Worthy of thy fame!
