Wisdom Drifts

The thunder rolls the heavens,
While the lightning flashes,
Its invincible light dispelling darkness,
Like the mango diving low from the tree,
Dark clouds hang heavily on the land,
Oh the much awaited rain comes in torrents!

The rivers swell with swirls, becoming muddy and wild,
And pull down the trees growing on the banks,
All tumble towards the ocean, the ultimate asylum!
Peacocks free from the clutches of heat,
Dance in a trance extending their plumage!

What is the magic oh my Angel?
The forests are covered with fresh green, the new life!
The newly born life,
Arouses the longing among lovers,
I see young women decorating themselves,
With flowers and colours, bangles and jewels!
Anointing with scents they await their lovers!
I sit near the window gazing at the clouds,
I may fall as the rain drop eager to reach you,
Please don’t let it fall on a piece of hot iron,
That would decimate my loving soul,
Unnoticed and dishonored!
Rather hold me on thy Lotus palms,
To make me shine like the pearl on your ring!
