When you feel like an object of musing, when you feel the world's eyes and tongues whipping your claustrophobic self, like me, you may have too desired to walk away, to disappear into the thin... to be truly alone... far away from all the world and its sin...

In Search of a Solitary Day

Full and overflowing
Voices and mumbles
of ages and kingdoms
down to the bottom they drag,
Me.

To recede into the walls I desire;
scorch to ashes in Babel’s fire;
and break the chords of Pompeii’s lyre.

All, in search of a solitary day.

Pandemonium’s marble mahal
Resonating echoes crying blues
Through broken mirrors
Claws drag down into the lord’s abyss,
Me.

To evanesce in a blink;
rupture like one in a fusion link;
and melt on the sun and sink.

All, in search of a solitary day.

Like a glass jar, seen to all,
words - loathes and lies
and the screech of blue bottle flies
fill up to the brim, to choke and drown,
Me.

To float like a fallen leaf, crash, burn and petrify;
paint my walls black, seep into a crack and ossify;
and break the Chakra's turn and let all paths falsify

All in search of a solitary day.

Many memorable, even unforgettable lines. In search of something we do not need.
