I have written poetry since I was six years old. My teacher told my mother, "Susan has a Way with Words".
A poem comes to me from some secret well of abundant words and feelings and it just presents itself with no invitation on my part. I stop wherever I am and jot it down, I have even composed while driving, not looking at what I write but it is always legible. I long to share the poems in case they touch some hurting or joyful place in your soul.
I left Poemhunter because my work was plagiarized. I felt that I had been violated in some way.

I will gradually post my poems and hope to make more wonderful friends, for I see already that some of my old friends are here.
