I have been writing poetry pretty much since I have been able to write. I had a period of several years where I quit writing because I lost all of my poetry in a house fire. It hurt me deeply as my poetry is my diary, my ledger and my release. My youngest son decided he wanted to try writing poetry after finding a small amount of work that I had done in the past, that had escaped the house fire. He then invited me to join another poetry website, I started to write again. I then decided to look for more websites for poetry and found this one.
