Currently, I coordinate a reading program for preschool children at our library in Tappahannock, Virginia. This program is called 123READ with the hope that at least one parent, grandparent, family member, will bring their 2 and 3 year olds to the library to obtain the reading habit. Our program extends to the day care centers in the area and the two Head Start programs in our elementary school. The program, over the years, has been extended to older children who have stayed with me from preschool to 12th grade graduations.

I love to sing and write poetry... I am a retired Avon District Sales Manager and have worked as a performer as A Poet In The Schools in Baltimore through their Culture Enrichment Program. I have taught Poetry, Drama and Public speaking in our Middle School to 7th graders in Tappahannock, Virginia. I have won awards for my poetry, paintings of oil and water colors as well as awards for my crocheting. Recently winning 5 awards, at our State Fair in Richmond, Virginia.
