Under The Tapestry

Lined up against
the back wall of the family room
against the blood
the teen age boys
in vomiting fear
face the dark revenge
of Syria's special army
the boys wait
for just a few minutes
new sun glances in long across the floor
and kisses their feet
the solders bring the rest in
trembling for mother
oh father
the army laughs and taunts
the tears and fear
curses them
then standing them
look at us ,little dogs
and fires
first the legs are shattered
then an Ak stitch
across the gut
thats all
turning leaving
in a pile clutching each other
under the tapestry in Homs

  • A dark tale within those beautiful and intricately made tapestries... Stained with blood that was once alive... surging with such force within the human vessels. Dark yet so moving! 3 Mar 2012 by
